Dr Ashley Field is a botanist and evolutionary biologist from the Australian Tropical Herbarium. Ashley is an authority on lycophytes and undertook his PhD studies at James Cook University on the diversification of the lycophyte genera Huperzia, Phlegmariurusand Phylloglossum. Ashley is passionate about the origin and drivers of the biological and landscape diversity of the neighbouring Wet Tropics and Great Barrier Reef World Heritage Areas of Australia.
